Students in Mrs. White’s English language arts class were asked to write a personal narrative about the power of resilience and how they have witnessed the power of resilience in their lives or in the lives of someone they know. Those essays were submitted to The Day of Hope essay contest, and eight best students were treated to an elegant luncheon at The Silver Grille at the Tower City Center. Students enjoyed listening to presentations from various community leaders as they gave their inspirational messages. Each student was also treated to a parting gift for participating in the event. Students also had a chance to meet Warrensville Heights Mayor Mr. Seller who was also a former Chicago Bulls basketball player.
