On September 14th, 2011, Mr. Hakan and Ms. Corrado had the opportunity to attend the Ohio Buckeye Foundation’s annual conference for administrators. The conference covered a variety of topics that are important to administrators of all schools. At the end of the conference, Mr. Hakan and Ms. Corrado accepted an award on behalf of Noble Academy for our Excellent rating from the Ohio Department of Education. It was an honor that all of the staff, parents and students have earned.
Since I have been at Noble Academy from almost the start of the school, it is strange and wonderful to see how far the school has come. For those of you that have worked with our former director, Mr. Kose, you may remember him saying on more than one occasion “we did not even have the tables and chairs when the school opened.” And, that was an accurate description. Imagine walking into a classroom, with nothing more than a few tables and fold up chairs and a mission to create an excellent school. It was a bit overwhelming to say the least. However, team members at this school have always stepped up to the challenge. Every procedure and routine that has been in place and is currently in use is a result of a team member’s vision in some way. Some of the things that were established at the start of the school with a few team members are things that we are still doing now. The difference is that we just continue to do things better and better. I am very proud of the work that we do as a team here at Noble Academy. I believe that each one of us creates opportunities for our students that they would not receive elsewhere. An excellent title is an accomplishment, but it does not define us. What defines Noble Academy is all that we do as a team that maybe no one ever notices and all that we do with the intention of helping our students succeed. I was proud of our work and proud of our team upon accepting the award. It was truly a nice experience to be included in on.
