FTC Team 8431 TechNOBLE

Our First Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics Team 8431 “TechNOBLE” competed at FTC Cincinnati Regional Tournament on Saturday, January 31.  The team of 5 middle school students advanced to the semi-finals, then finals.

A major highlight of the event- in the 22nd match the robot’s motors burned and couldn’t be moved. When the math portion was over, the team rushed to fix the broken robot with only 10 minutes until the next match…sliding in at the last moment. The crowd went wild as our robot was able to grab the game balls and shoot through the net, performing all the way to the buzzer…and winning us the “Winning Alliance ” trophy.

We advanced to FTC OHIO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP which will be held onSaturday February 14, 2015. Congratulations to Nathanyel Ahiagbedey : Team Captain and Software Engineer, Beyza Efe: Mechanical Engineer and Builder / Responsible for Engineering Notebook, Mehmet Fesli:  Mechanical Engineer and Builder/ Responsible for Strategy, Imari Warfield: Electrical Engineer, and Devin Reed-Bennings: Electrical Engineer.
