Black History Month Celebration

Noble’s Virtual Hall of Fame of Influential African American Leaders

For Noble Academy’s 2021 Black History Month Celebration, our scholars showcased an influential African American leader in their life! Scholars took this opportunity to really think about what makes a great leader.

For the past couple years at Noble Academy, we have been implementing a new program – Leader in Me. This program teachers our scholars how to become leaders in their personal life, school, and within the community. Leader in Me empowers our young scholars to make positive, effective, and responsible choices by introducing and reinforcing 7 habits:

  1. Be Proactive
  2. Begin With The End In Mind
  3. Put First Things First
  4. Think Win-Win
  5. Seek First to Understand, Then To Be Understood
  6. Synergize
  7. Sharpen the Saw

Looking at these 7 habits, scholars chose an influential African American leader within their personal life or a historical figure that they truly felt embodied what a leader should be.

Please enjoy Noble’s Virtual Hall of Fame of Influential African American Leaders!
