On April 17th, five students from Noble Academy visited the Ohio State House. Senator Nina Turner spent some time with the students to answer questions and to tell them how the legislature works.
The students learned how a constituent can propose an idea for a law, have it written, go to committee, be voted on and, eventually, made into a law. Students were amazed at how one person’s idea can become a law that helps everyone in the State of Ohio.
After the meeting, students toured the buildings where the senate and the representatives meet to conduct business. Students also spent some time in the interactive museum after the tour.
