On Saturday, April 20, 2024, the NAC Lady and Gentlemen Knights joined other local charter schools in the league championship tournament. The tournament was played in an elimination or knockout bracket. An elimination bracket is simple: if you lose a game, you're out! Talk about pressure.
Unfortunately, the Gentlemen Knights were knocked out in the first round. We are proud of all the NAC basketball players' performances Saturday on the court, and throughout the season. Thank you to our boys, parents, families, friends, and coaches for a great year!
The Lady Knights advanced through the first round against Euclid Prep and advanced to compete against Lake Erie Prep for the championship. The Lady Knights, excited, proud, and nervous, played a tough game. Tears ran down the faces of our players and their families as the gym roared when the scoreboard read 9-8 at the buzzer. Congratulations to Lake Erie Prep on winning the championship, and congratulations to the Lady Knights for their second-place win!
We are excited to see how next season turns out, and to be able to host games at our new gymnasium for the 2024-2025 academic year.
